Barclays raises resi and BTL rates by up to 44 basis points


Barclays will raise rates by up to 44 basis points on a range of home and buy-to-let loans, while reducing cash back amounts on some transactions and increasing them on others.

Among the big bank’s home purchase loans, a two-year, 75% fixed-rate LTV offer with no product fees rises 25 basis points to 3.95%. Minimum loan £5,000, maximum loan £2m.

A five-year 90% fixed rate LTV deal with a product fee of £999 rises 20bps to 4.09%. Minimum loan £5,000, maximum loan £570,000.

Among its residential mortgages, a five-year fixed-rate 85% LTV offering with a product fee of £999 rises 20 basis points to 3.89%. Minimum loan £5,000, maximum loan £2m.

A five-year, 85% fixed-rate Great Escape loan with no product fees increases by 20 basis points to 4.11%. Minimum loan £50,000, maximum loan £2m.

Among its home purchase and mortgages, a two-year 60% fixed rate LTV deal with a product fee of £999 rose 36 basis points to 3.68%. Minimum loan £5,000, maximum loan £2m.

A five-year 60% fixed rate LTV loan, with a product fee of £999, rises 44 basis points to 3.83%. Minimum loan £5,000, maximum loan £2m.

Among its BTL purchase loans, a five-year fixed rate 75% LTV deal with a product fee of £1,295, rises 40 basis points to 3.46%. Minimum loan £35,000, maximum loan £1m.

Among its BTL mortgages, a five-year fixed-rate 75% LTV offering with a product fee of £1,795 rises 20 basis points to 3.50%. Minimum loan £35,000, maximum loan £1m.

And among its BTL purchase and remortgage loans, a five-year, 60% fixed-rate LTV deal with no product fees, rises 20 basis points to 3.75%. Minimum loan £35,000, maximum loan £1m.

A five-year fixed rate portfolio of 75% LTV, with a product fee of £2,495, rises 20bps to 3.50%. Minimum loan £35,000, maximum loan £1m.

Cash back is increased to £400 from £300 on several residential mortgages where the borrower uses their own solicitor, including a 60% fixed rate LTV offer over two years, with no product fees, at 3 .85%. Minimum loan £50,000, maximum loan £2m.

And a five-year fixed rate 85% LTV deal, with no product fees, at 4.11%. Minimum loan £50,000, maximum loan £2m.

In addition, repayment is reduced to £150 from £250 on several residential mortgages with free legal fees, including a 60% fixed rate Great Escape offer over two years, with no product fees, at 3, 85%. Minimum loan £50,000, maximum loan £2m.

And a five-year Great Escape 3.96% fixed rate agreement, no product fees, at 75% LTV. Minimum loan £50,000, maximum loan £2m.
