Black & White names Owen as NED


Black & White Bridging has appointed Robert Owen to its board of directors as a non-executive director.

Owen comes from United Trust Bank where he worked for seven years.

He was recruited from United Trust Bank to create a new division specializing in home loans for the bank, becoming managing director of the mortgage and bridging divisions.

Previously, he was Managing Director of Matlock Bank, where he founded the London Mortgage Company, and Chairman of Al Rayan Bank, the first Shariah retail bank outside the Gulf.

Black & White Chief Commercial Officer Damien Druce says Owen’s appointment “gives us access to the expertise of one of the most experienced people in the industry.”
