Danske Bank extends its carbon-neutral mortgage

Danske Bank UK announces that it will extend its range of carbon neutral mortgages in England to flats and flats, including new build, up to a maximum of 85% loan to value.

The Bank will now also consider applications where the applicant’s main source of income is from self-employment, up to a maximum of 90% of the LTV.

Danske Bank launched its UK carbon-neutral mortgage in the South East, South West and East of England excluding London last month, initially through registered brokers from the Mortgage Advice Bureau.

Danske’s Carbon Neutral Mortgage is available to first time buyers, movers and mortgagees and is available with a minimum 5% deposit, subject to terms and conditions.

Danske also offers a 90% LTV for new builds less than two years old and participates in the Help to Buy equity lending program. It also offers free standard assessments for FTBs and movers interested in this product.

Patrick Mullan, Head of UK Mortgages at Danske Bank, said: “Danske’s carbon neutral mortgage has been well received since its launch in England last month and we are delighted to be able to expand the criteria for eligible homes and borrowers. to the product. .”
