Foundation expands Green ABC+ mortgage options for homeowners

Intermediary-only specialty lender Foundation Home Loans has launched new fixed and discounted two-year Green ABC+ options for residential homeowner borrowers.

The new range of green products, available as part of the Foundation’s F1 and F2 product range, is aimed at borrowers buying or paying off a property with an EPC rating between A and C.

Available up to 85% loan to value (LTV), Foundation offers discount rates with no prepayment charges starting at 2.99% in Tier F1 and 3.24% in Tier F2.

It also offers two-year fixed rates starting at 3.84% in the F1 tier and 4.09% in the F2 tier.

The new products have reduced product fees by £595 for flat rates and £1,295 for discounts.

Green ABC+ products were introduced by the Foundation last year for homeowners and homeowners to support borrowers looking to purchase/refinance more energy efficient homes.

Georgie Gee, Commercial Director of Foundation Home Loans, says: “Our aim with these products is to incentivize and reward borrowers to help improve the overall energy ratings of the UK’s housing stock and to provide a range mortgage loans that promote much greater efficiency in this very important area. .”

“This is the first time we have offered a discounted product in the ‘Green ABC+’ range and it is also the first time we have expanded availability to F2 borrowers, meaning more potential homeowners can get mortgage rate benefits as a result of purchasing an energy efficient property or having upgraded the EPC level of their existing property.” Gee adds.
