Precise Mortgages sales manager Roger Morris is leaving the lender after 12 years.
Morris is one of the best-known names in the mortgage industry having started his career in the 1990s. He has also served as Director of Group Engagement at OSB Group, of which Precise is a part, since January.
In a post on LinkedIn, Morris said it was time for him to seek new challenges “in the industry that I love” and that the decision to leave was driven “by the recognition that I have done everything I could to help bring the company to this point in its journey.”
“Helping to build Precise Mortgages into the specialist lending powerhouse it has become and then helping to integrate it into the OSB Group have been the passions of much of the latter part of my working life,” the post reads.
Many industry players commented on the announcement, including Propflo and Knowledge Bank investor Ying Tan, who wrote that Morris was “a significant driving force in specialty lending and indeed the mortgage industry in in a broad sense for many years”.
“Your passion, enthusiasm and dedication to our industry is infectious and unmatched,” Tan wrote. “I have seen you positively influence so many people in the industry and their breadth of knowledge and experience has often been guided by you.
“You were probably the first remarkable person to embrace social media in our industry and look at all of us now! You should be extremely proud of what you have accomplished, but what is most exciting is that it there will be greater victories and many more peaks to come.
