The Conveyancing Foundation launches an appeal for Ukraine

The Conveyancing Foundation has made an appeal for Ukraine by opening its monthly Charity Lotto to members of the public for the first time.

Convey Law launched the appeal with an initial donation of £15,000.

The Foundation said all funds donated will go directly to the official DEC Ukraine appeal. This brings together 15 of Britain’s leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently in times of crisis overseas.

The Foundation is calling on estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders and transfer companies to support the appeal and promote it to their staff and clients to help raise thousands of pounds and support the people who desperately need help. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

The minimum donation through the lotto is £10, with members of the public donating through this channel having the chance to win £500.

The Foundation says a donation of just £30 will help provide hygiene supplies for three people for a month, £50 will provide blankets for four families and £100 will provide emergency food for two families for a month . Companies that pledge £1,000 or more will be marketed on the Foundation Appeal webpage.

Conveyancing Foundation spokesperson Nicola Lancaster said, “By participating in the Foundation’s Charity Lotto, you will raise funds that will help DEC charities in Ukraine and neighboring countries meet the needs of all refugees and displaced persons.
